Privacy Policy

Center for the New Northwest (CNNW) respects the privacy of its fellows, members, volunteers, visitors to its website, and anyone who provides us with personal information of any sort. CNNW established this policy to disclose what information we collect, how we use that information, when we share that information, and how people can change or remove their personal information.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

A. Personally Identifiable Information

CNNW collects contact information that is voluntarily provided to us by persons with whom we work or who visit our website. Such information is collected either through our website or via mail. It typically includes names, addresses, emails, and/or telephone numbers.

CNNW does not collect or store any financial information from any persons, such as bank account numbers or credit/debit card information, except for the monetary value of donations and/or membership contributions. We use this information to keep track of memberships and member benefits, to inform interested persons about upcoming activities and events, and to disseminate other such information about CNNW to them.

For employees and vendors, CNNW collects the tax information required by the Internal Revenue Service and shares that information only with our payroll service and with the IRS. Names of some major donors may be required by the IRS in our tax filings.

CNNW does not use “cookies” or similar technologies to identify a person’s browser or device when visiting our website.

B. Demographic Information

CNNW collects demographic data, such as age, gender, and postal code when a person provides this information to us voluntarily in response to an online or paper survey. That data is never identified with a particular user, but may be used in the aggregate and shared with grant-funding organizations who request such data.

Sharing of Personal Information

CNNW may share personal contact information with third party service providers not affiliated with us who help operate our website or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending surveys or order fulfillment, and their use of that information is limited to that purpose. With that exception and the other exceptions in the above policy, we do not share a person’s personal information with third parties without the specific consent of that person.

Security

Our website has security measures in place to protect against the misuse or loss of information. CNNW does not store personally identifiable information anywhere on our website. That information is stored on a customer relations management software system that has security measures to protect from breaches and is password protected.

Choice

CNNW provides persons with several ways to ask that their contact information be revised or removed from any email or newsletter list or from our customer management relations lists. If there are any questions or concerns, email info@newnorthwest.org
